Create the User Criteria
The user criteria control the accessibility of categories and catalog items in the Service Catalog. The ServiceNow users and end-users require user criteria to access projects/catalog items. The ServiceNow system administrator can create user criteria in the VMware Aria Automation plug-in scope.
- You must create entitlement using the user criteria. To create the user criteria records in the Service Catalog, see Create User Criteria Record.
- To assign the user criteria to catalog items and projects in the Service Catalog, see Apply User Criteria to Items and Categories.
- The restrictions for user criteria to view individual projects/catalog items are directly applied by adding items inAvailable FororNot Available Forrelated lists in the User Criteria form.
- The system administrator must provide access to projects/ catalog items for a specific user by following the below steps:
- CreateUser Criteriain the Service Catalog.
- AddGroupsandUsersin User Criteria.
- Add the user criteria inAvailable Forif a specific user requires to access a specific project/catalog item.
- Add the user criteria inNot Available Forif the specific user does not want to access a specific project/catalog item.The user cannot access the catalog item when the user is on bothAvailable ForandNot Available Forlists because theNot Available Forsettings will overrideAvailable Forsettings.
