Add an NSX load balancer
When
using
VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle
or
other VMware Aria Suite
products
that are deployed with VMware Cloud Foundation
in a clustered environment, you can add one of the following NSX load balancer
types:- Verify that you have the FQDN for the load balancer.
- To deploy an NSX Advanced load balancer:
- Verify that you have deployed an NSX Advanced Load Balancer outside ofVMware Aria Suite Lifecycle.
- Verify that the NSX Advanced Load Balancer controller is configured with an NSX-T cloud account.
- VCF managed NSX-T
- NSX Advanced load balancer, previously named Avi Networks load balancer and used byVMware Aria Automation,VMware Aria Operations, andVMwareIdentity Manager,VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle.
- Others
Before deploying the
VMware Aria Suite
product, add a
load balancer to your VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle
configuration as described in the following procedure.- Log in toVMware Aria Suite Lifecycle.
- On theMy Servicesdashboard, clickLifecycle Operations.
- In the navigation list at the left, selectSettings.
- On theSystem Administrationpage, clickLoad Balancer.
- TheConfigure Load Balancerpage appears.
- ClickAdd Load Balancer.
- Select theController Typeand specify the controller type settings.
- If adding aNSX Advanced Load Balancer, specify:FieldDescriptionController FQDNFQDN of the NSX Advanced Load Balancer ControllerController IPIP Address of the NSX Advanced Load Balancer ControllerUsernameUsername for the NSX Advanced Load Balancer ControllerPasswordPassword for the NSX Advanced Load Balancer ControllerSelect a password from theVMware Aria Suite Lifecyclelocker. If it is not listed, then useclick hereto create the password object and make the selection.NSX Cloud AccountNSX-T Cloud accountLoad Balancer IPIP address that will be used to create the virtual service on the NSX Advanced Load Balancer ControllerLoad Balancer FQDNLoad balancer FQDN that will be used to deploy the product
- If adding aVMware Cloud Foundation managed NSX-TorOthers, specify the load balancer FQDN.
- ClickAdd.
