Deploy
VMware manages all the data plane operations within the vantage. To host
the virtual services, the service engine requires either direct or routable access to the
client and server networks. One or more service engines are grouped to share properties,
such as network access and failover.
- Log in to the Avi Controller console as an administrator.
- Navigate to.
- Click the download icon (down arrow) and selectOva.
- Click the key to generate a token.
- Right-click the resource pool where you want to deploy the service engine and selectDeploy OVF template.
- On theSelect an OVF templatepage, selectLocal file, click the button to upload files, and navigate to the service engine OVA file that you have already downloaded.
- On theSelect a name and folderpage, enter a unique name for the virtual machine and select a deployment location.
- On theSelect a compute resourcepage, selectCitrix Mgmt Resource Pool.
- On theReview detailspage, verify the details.
- On theSelect storagepage, selectWorkloadDatastoreto deploy the VM.
- On theSelect networkspage, select the management network, Data Network 1.For example, selectsddc-cgw-dmz.Only the management network and Data Network 1 interfaces are enabled.
- On theCustomize templatepage, enter details in all the text boxes.The AVI Management IP address is for managing the service engine. Service engine is part of DMZ network.
- On theReady to completepage, review the details and clickFinishto deploy the service engine.
