SDDC using Hybrid Linked Mode. - You must have administrator privileges to perform the tasks specific to linking the vCenter Cloud Gateway Appliance to your VMware Cloud on Dell EMC SDDC.
- You must have installed the vCenter Cloud Gateway Appliance. See Install the vCenter Cloud Gateway Appliance from the Graphical Installer.
- UnderConfigure Hybrid Linked Mode, clickStart.
- Enter your on-premises SSO settings and user groups that can access vCenter, and then clickFinish.OptionDescriptionvCenter Server in VMCEnter the IP address or FQDN of theVMware Cloud on Dell EMCvCenter Server.UsernameEnter the Single Sign-On administrator user name in the formuser@sso-domain.PasswordEnter the Single Sign-On administrator password.Identity SourceSelect the identity source.GroupEnter the name of the group.Configuring SSO takes approximately 2–3 minutes.
- Accept the certificate.
- ClickLaunch vSphere Clientand Connect to theVMware Cloud on Dell EMCvCenter Server.OptionDescriptionUser NameEnter the user name for the cloud administrator.PasswordEnter the password for the cloud administrator.
- Add the groups you have defined in your on-premises environment to serve as cloud administrator groups.
- Select the on-premises identity source.
- Enter the name of the administrator group in the search box and select the group.
- Log in to your Cloud Gateway Appliance using the on-premises SSO domain.
When the linking process is complete, you can
use the to view and manage the inventories of your on-premises
