Configure product details
To view and configure products that
were selected during environment creation, use
VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle
. You can configure product details as part of
installation or as part of subsequent configuration tasks.
- Under theProduct Details, select products for a new installation.ProductFunctionVMware Aria Automation
- To monitor health ofVMware Aria Automation, select theMonitor withVMware Aria Operationscheck box.
- To manage the workload using load balancer and reclaim unused resources from the resource pool, select theWorkload Placement and Reclamationcheck box.This is only available for a new installation where inVMware Aria Operationsmonitors health ofVMware Aria Automation. Inter-product configuration is not supported for an existing environment.Cross-product integration forVMware Aria AutomationwithVMware Aria Operationsis not applicable for an import ofVMware Aria Automation. This option is only applicable if there is a new installation ofVMware Aria Automation.You can also perform cross-product configuration whenIfVMware Aria Operationsis not present, then you can integrate the products outside ofVMware Aria Suite Lifecycle.VMware Aria Automationis the only product andVMware Aria Operationsis a part of an environment or whenVMware Aria Automationis deployed with import or as new install ofVMware Aria Operations.
- For a newly installedVMware Aria Automation, select theConfigure internal pods and service subsetscheckbox, and then enter aK8 Cluster IP RangeandK8 Service IP Range.
- Select the product certificate from the drop-down menu.
- (Optional) Select ON or OFF to activate or deactivate the FIPS compliance mode.
- Select theApplicable Time Sync mode.
- Select theTime Server (NTP). For more information, see Configure NTP servers.
- If you want to configure cluster virtual IPs, then select theYesorNooptions.
- (Optional) ClickAnti-Affinity / Affinity Rulecheck box to create host rules in thevCenterfor each deployed VM.
For more information about database creation, see Create a new private cloud environment using the installation wizard in VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle.VMware Aria Automation Config- ForVMware Aria Automation Config, select theTenant IDfrom the drop-down menu underProduct Properties.
- For vVMware Aria Automation Config, enter theVM name,FQDNandVirtual IP AddressunderComponents.
- ForVMware Aria Automation Config, you can only perform a single nodeVMware Aria Automation Configinstallation at a time. ForVMware Aria Automationdeployment along withVMware Aria Automation Config, the tenant ID is selected by default. Any additionalVMware Aria Automation Configdeployment can be performed based on the tenant as organic growth.
- Federal Information Processing Standard 140-2 Support (FIPS) is supported forVMware Aria Automation Config.
VMware Aria Operations for LogsFederal Information Processing Standard 140-2 Support (FIPS) is supported forVMware Aria Operations for Logs.- Select the node size from the drop-down menu.
- (Optional) Select ON or OFF to enable or deactivate the FIPS compliance mode.
- UnderIntegrated Load Balance Configuration, if you select theConfigure Cluster Virtual IPs, enter theFQDNandVirtual IP Address.
- To add more node, clickADD NODE.
- Select theApplicable Time Sync Mode.
- Under components, enter thevRLIprimary node details.
- (Optional) ClickAnti-Affinity / Affinity Rulecheck box to create host rules in thevCenterfor each deployed VM.
- (Optional) ClickAdd Componentsto configure additional settings.
- Enter the required fields.
VMware Aria OperationsFederal Information Processing Standard 140-2 Support (FIPS) is supported forVMware Aria Operations for Logs.- UnderProduct Properties, select theDisable TLS versionfrom the drop-down menu.
- (Optional) Select ON or OFF to enable or deactivate the FIPS compliance mode.
- Select theCertificatefrom the drop-down menu.
- (Optional) ClickAnti-Affinity / Affinity Rulecheck box to create host rules in thevCenterfor each deployed VM.
- Add theProduct Password.
- (Optional) ClickIntegrate with Identity Managercheck box.
- Select theTime Sync Mode.
- For continuous availability-based deployment, underComponents, enter theInfrastructureandNetworkdetails for theWitness Domain.
- For Continous Availability (CA) based deployment, enter theInfrastructureandNetworkdetails forFault Domain 1andFault Domain 2.
- If you want to add additional data nodes for a cluster, click theAdd Componentstab.If you selectUse Global Configuration, the field data is populated based on the information provided in theInfrastructuretab. You can select this option forWitness Domain,Fault Domain 1, orFault Domain 2. Ensure that each domain is in different physical location so that if one fault domain fails, nodes from the other fault domain remains active.
- If you want to add remote collectors, clickAdd Collector Group, and then add the details for the new collector nodes.
VMware Aria Operations for Networks- Under theProduct Properties, select the node size from the drop-down menu.
- Select the applicableTime Sync Mode.
- Under components, enter theplatformandcollectordetails forVMware Aria Operations for Networks.
- (Optional) ClickAnti-Affinity / Affinity Rulecheck box to create host rules in thevCenterfor each deployed VM.
VMware Aria Automation OrchestratorVMware Aria Automation Orchestratoroffers two setup options:- VMware Aria Automation Orchestrator-IntegratedThis is the traditionalVMware Aria Automation Orchestratorsetup option, whereVMware Aria Automation Orchestratoris integrated withVMware Aria Automationand you can installVMware Aria Automation Orchestratorafter installingVMware Aria Automation
- VMware Aria Automation OrchestratorStandalone: This setup option has no dependency onVMware Aria Automationand it allows you to integrate with vSphere.
- Under theProduct Properties, select ON or OFF to enable or deactivate the FIPS compliance mode.
- Select theCertificatefrom the drop-down menu.
- Add theProduct Password.
- Select the applicableTime Sync Mode.
- For a standard deployment, enter the host name and IP address underComponents.
- UnderCluster Virtual IP, enter the load balancer hostFQDNfor the cluster deployment.
- UnderComponents, enter the host name and IP address for the primary and secondary nodes.
VMware Workspace ONE Access- Under theProduct Properties, select the certificate from drop-down menu.
- Select the admin password from the locker.
- Specify the default configuration admin user name and password. This configuration is created as local user inVMware Workspace ONE Accessand is used forVMware Aria Suiteproduct integration.
- CheckSync Group Members. When enabled, members of the groups are synced from the active directory. When this is deactivated, group names are synced to the directory, but members of the group are not synced.
- For a cluster deployment, underCluster Virtual IP, enterCluster VIP FQDN. This setting is used to load balance the application.
- For a cluster deployment, enter the database IP address that is used internally for proxy access to the primary postgres database.This is not same as the address used to load-balance the application and the IP address should be free and available.
- UnderComponents, enter theVMware Workspace ONE Accesssingle or cluster node details.
