Change in DNS server
If there is a change in the DNS server, you can update the
VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle
appliance DNS settings. When a DNS server provided during deployment gets changed, then follow these
steps to update the DNS settings of
VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle
. - SSH toVMware Aria Suite Lifecycleappliance using root user.
- Update the DNS setting using the command:
For example:/opt/vmware/share/vami/vami_set_dns vami_set_dns [-d <domain>] [ -s <searchpath>] DNS_Server_1 [DNS_Server_2]/opt/vmware/share/vami/vami_set_dns -d sqa.local -s sqa.local 10.1.1.25 - Power off theVMware Aria Suite Lifecyclevirtual appliance.
- Select theVMware Aria Suite Lifecyclevirtual appliance fromvCenterand then selectConfigure.
- SelectvApp Options.
- Under Properties, specify the following command:vami.DNS.VMware_vRealize_Suite_Life_Cycle_Manager_Appliance
- Power ON theVMware Aria Suite Lifecyclevirtual appliance.
- Verify the new DNS entry by running theresolvectlstatus, and then verify the DNS server.
