Setting up native authenticationLast Updated February 5, 2025
You can set up native authentication for
Automation Config
in the user interface using the Local Users
workspace. User names and passwords for local users are natively stored in Automation Config
. You can use this workspace to manage
local user settings, such as user passwords. You can also use this workspace to create or
clone local users.Going forward,
Automation Config
is no longer included in the Aria
Automation suite of products. The new name of this product is VMware Tanzu Salt and this
product is available as part of the VMware Tanzu Platform suite of products. See Using and Managing Tanzu
Salt for more information. You can use roles in
Automation Config
to
create specific management roles, and then add the appropriate users to those roles. Roles
control which minions each user can view and which operations a user can perform in the
user interface.By default, a local user is associated with each Salt master key used for
authentication.
