ClientTo use the
Automation Orchestrator
plug-in for the vSphere Web
Client, you must register Automation Orchestrator
as an extension of vCenter
. - Verify that SSH access is enabled for theAutomation Orchestrator Appliance. See Activate or Deactivate SSH Access to the Automation Orchestrator Appliance.
- You must registerAutomation Orchestratorwith vSphere authentication to the same Platform Services Controller that your managedvCenterinstance authenticates with.
- Copy thevco-plugin.zipto theAutomation Orchestrator Appliance:
- Download thevco-plugin.zipfile from the VMware Technology Network.
- Open an SSH client.For Linux or MacOS environments, you can use the Terminal command-line interface. For Windows environments, you can use the PuTTY client.
- To copy thevco-plugin.zipfile, run the secure copy command.For Linux/MacOS: scp ~/<zip_download_dir>/vco-plugin.zip root@<orchestrator_FQDN_or_IP>:/data/vco/usr/lib/vco/downloads/vco-plugin.zipFor Windows: pscp C:\<zip_download_dir>\vco-plugin.zip root@<orchestrator_FQDN_or_IP>:/data/vco/usr/lib/vco/downloads/vco-plugin.zip
After you register your
Automation Orchestrator
server with vCenter Single Sign-On and
configure it to work with vCenter
,
you must register Automation Orchestrator
as an extension of vCenter
. - Log in to theAutomation Orchestrator Client.
- Navigate to.
- Search for theRegister vCenter Orchestrator as a vCenter Server extensionworkflow, and clickRun.
- Select thevCenterinstance to registerAutomation Orchestratorwith.
- Enter https://your_orchestrator_FQDNor the service URL of the load balancer that redirects the requests to theAutomation Orchestratorserver nodes.
