Configuring the SOAP
plug-in
SOAP
plug-inYou must use the
Automation Orchestrator
Client to configure the
SOAP
plug-in.The Configuration workflow category contains
workflows that allow you to manage SOAP hosts.
To access these workflows in the
Automation Orchestrator
Client, navigate to and enter the soap
and
configuration
tags in the workflow search box.Workflow Name | Description |
---|---|
Add a SOAP host | Adds a SOAP host to the plug-in inventory. |
Reload plug-in configuration | Refreshes the list of SOAP hosts in the plug-in inventory. |
Remove a SOAP host | Removes a SOAP host from the plug-in
inventory. When you remove
a host from the inventory, all workflows generated from it stop working.

Update a SOAP host | Updates a SOAP host in the plug-in inventory. |
Update a SOAP host with an endpoint URL | Updates a SOAP host with a preferred endpoint address. The new endpoint
address is used for sending and receiving SOAP messages, instead of the endpoint
address defined within the WSDL. |
Add a SOAP Host
You can run a
workflow to add a SOAP host and configure the host connection parameters.
- Log in to theAutomation OrchestratorClient as an administrator.
- Navigate toand enter thesoapandconfigurationtags in the workflow search box.
- Locate theAdd a SOAP hostworkflow and clickRun.
- On theSOAP hosttab, provide the properties to create a host.
- In theNametext box, enter the name of the host.
- Select whether to provide the WSDL content as text.OptionActionYesCopy the text in theWSDL contenttext box.NoEnter the correct path in theWSDL URItext box.
- In theConnection timeouttext box, enter the number of seconds within whichAutomation Orchestratormust connect to the SOAP host, otherwise the connection times out.
- In theRequest timeouttext box, enter the number of seconds within which a SOAP request must succeed before it times out.
- On theProxytab, select whether to use a proxy.OptionActionYesProvide the proxy address and proxy port.NoContinue to the next step.
- On theHost authenticationtab, select the authentication type.OptionDescriptionNoneNo authentication is required.BasicProvides basic access authentication.On theUser credentialstab, select the session mode.
- If you selectShared Session, provide credentials for the shared session.
- If you selectPer User Session, theAutomation OrchestratorClient retrieves credentials from the user who is logged in.
DigestProvides digest access authentication that uses encryption.On theUser credentialstab, select the session mode.- If you selectShared Session, provide credentials for the shared session.
- If you selectPer User Session, theAutomation OrchestratorClient retrieves credentials from the user who is logged in.
NTLMProvides NT LAN Manager (NTLM) access authentication within the Window Security Support Provider (SSPI) framework.On theUser credentialstab, select the session mode.- If you selectShared Session, provide credentials for the shared session.
- If you selectPer User Session, theAutomation OrchestratorClient retrieves credentials from the user who is logged in.
On theNTLM settingstab, enter the NTLM domain and NTLM workstation.NegotiateProvides Kerberos access authentication.On theUser credentialstab, select the session mode.- If you selectShared Session, provide credentials for the shared session.
- If you selectPer User Session, theAutomation OrchestratorClient retrieves credentials from the user who is logged in.
On theNegotiatetab, provide the Kerberos service SPN. - ClickRun.
After the workflow runs
successfully, the SOAP host appears in the
Inventory
view.
You can explore the SOAP host
objects and run workflows on them from the
Inventory
view.
