supports multiple types of
license keys. Its features are available for use based on these license types. For more information about the features

VMware Aria
Operations for Networks
6.0 is a major version that requires new license
keys. After upgrading to 6.0, all license keys, except the NSX Enterprise Plus will
cease to work. You can obtain the new license keys from the MyVMware
portal. For more information, see the VMware Knowledge Base Article:
80358.- If you do not add the new license key during the upgrade, you get a grace period of seven days. You see a warning message to add the new key on each UI page of the upgraded setup.
- The warning message with the grace period will continue to display even if you have replaced an older Advanced license key with the new Enterprise key. To deactivate this warning message, remove the Advanced license manually.
Advanced License
The Advanced license is a basic license
type which supports a limited number features and addition of a few data sources.
Enterprise License
The Enterprise license supports a complete set of
VMware Aria
Operations for Networks
features and
supported data sources.To add
VMware SD-WAN
, you need to use a separate VMware Aria
Operations for Networks
add-on for VMware SD-WAN
license based on the number of SD-WAN edges. For

Universal License
The Universal license is a flexible license type
designed to accelerate cloud adoption by enabling you to deploy the solution as a
SaaS or start on-premises and then move to SaaS interchangeably without repurchasing
for a consistent hybrid and multi-cloud management experience.

license, the Advanced license, or the VMware SD-WAN
add-on license with a platform licensed with
Universal.SD-WAN License
The SD-WAN license is a unique license
type designed to add
VMware SD-WAN
as a
data source and view your VMware SD-WAN
deployment information in VMware Aria
Operations for Networks
. To support edges of different bandwidths, you can add
multiple VMware SD-WAN
license keys.- With theVMware SD-WANlicense, you can also addVMware vCenterwithout IPFIX, switches, routers, and Infoblox.
- You can add theVMware SD-WANlicense as a standalone license, or you can use it with an Enterprise license. But you cannot use theVMware SD-WANlicense with an Advanced license.
