Attach the
MongoDB Ops Manager

To deploy a
MongoDB Enterprise
instance in
VMware Cloud Director extension for Data Solutions
, first attach the
MongoDB Ops Manager
.
  • Verify that you are assigned with the
    Tenant administrator
    role. See Tenant user roles and rights.
  • Install the
    MongoDB Ops Manager
    . See https://www.mongodb.com/products/ops-manager. Do not install the
    MongoDB Ops Manager
    on a tenant
    Kubernetes
    cluster, where the
    Data Solutions operator
    is being installed.
  • Prepare the necessary resources on the
    MongoDB Ops Manager
    , before you attach it to the tenant organization.
    • Create an organization.
    • Create an API key pair, which has access to the organization.
    • Store the
      MongoDB Ops Manager
      TLS certificate file on the local path.
You can use the
MongoDB Ops Manager
to manage your
MongoDB
instances.
  1. Log in to
    VMware Cloud Director extension for Data Solutions
    from
    VMware Cloud Director
    .
  2. Click
    Solutions
    and on the solution card, click
    Ops Manager
    Attach
    .
  3. Enter the necessary details and click
    Create
    .
You are now able to create
MongoDB Enterprise
instances.
