Create
VMware Data Services Manager
instances

You can create
VMware Data Services Manager MySQL
and
VMware Data Services Manager Postgres
instances in
VMware Cloud Director extension for Data Solutions
.
  1. Log in to
    VMware Cloud Director extension for Data Solutions
    from
    VMware Cloud Director
    .
  2. Click
    Instances
    Create Instance
    .
  3. Select the solution, for which you want to create an instance.
    1. (Optional) If you want to create a
      VMware Data Services Manager Postgres
      instance, select
      Primary
      or
      Secondary
      .
  4. Enter the database version and name.
  5. Set the database data availability and protection options, such as deployment topology, backups, or remote replication for
    VMware Data Services Manager Postgres
    instances.
    If you want to use Multiple Availability Zone HA topology, verify that your administrator has set up an infrastructure policy that supports this topology.
  6. Set the database infrastructure by selecting an infrastructure policy, storage policy, VM class, and disk size.
  7. (Optional) Customize the database options.
  8. (Optional) Customize the YAML file.
  9. Click
    Create
    .
