You can use the
MongoDB Ops Manager
to manage your MongoDB
instances.Attach the MongoDB Ops Manager

To
deploy a
MongoDB Enterprise
instance in VMware Cloud Director extension for Data Solutions
, first attach the MongoDB Ops Manager
.- Verify that you are assigned with theTenant administratorrole. See Tenant user roles and rights.
- Install theMongoDB Ops Manager. See https://www.mongodb.com/products/ops-manager. Do not install theMongoDB Ops Manageron a tenantKubernetescluster, where theData Solutions operatoris being installed.
- Prepare the necessary resources on theMongoDB Ops Manager, before you attach it to the tenant organization.
- Create an organization.
- Create an API key pair, which has access to the organization.
- Store theMongoDB Ops ManagerTLS certificate file on the local path.
You can use the
MongoDB Ops Manager
to manage your MongoDB
instances.- Log in toVMware Cloud Director extension for Data SolutionsfromVMware Cloud Director.
- ClickSolutionsand on the solution card, click .
- Enter the necessary details and clickCreate.
You are now able to create
MongoDB Enterprise
instances.Detach the MongoDB Ops Manager
MongoDB Ops Manager
You
can detach the
MongoDB Ops Manager
from
a tenant organization. Verify that you are assigned with the
Tenant administrator
role. See Tenant user roles and rights.Once you detach the
MongoDB Ops Manager
, the tenant users in this organization are no
longer able to deploy new MongoDB Enterprise
solution instances. Detaching the
MongoDB Ops Manager
does not
affect the existing MongoDB Enterprise
instances if the organization and API key pair in
MongoDB Ops Manager
are
functioning. - Log in toVMware Cloud Director extension for Data SolutionsfromVMware Cloud Director.
