Compatibility and Heterogeneous Configuration across the Paired Sites

Because the protected and recovery sites are often in different locations, some components on the protected site can be of a different type to their counterparts on the recovery site.
is compatible with N-1 version of

is 8.5, the supported versions for the paired on-premises site are 8.4 and later.
is compatible with N-2 version of
and
on the paired on-premises site. For example, if the current version of
on
is 7.0, the supported versions for the paired on-premises site go back to
6.5 Update 3 and
6.5 Update 3.
If you use
6.5 or
6.0 Update 3, you must ensure the time synchronization between the
host and the
on the recovery site.
Although components can be different on each site, you must use the types and versions of these components that
supports.
