Enable Shared Folders or Mirrored Folders for a Virtual Machine
Before you can identify which folders to share or mirror, you must configure your virtual machine to share folders.
Verify that the virtual machine runs a guest operating system that supports folder sharing. For more information, see Guest Operating Systems That Support Shared Folders.

- Select a virtual machine in theVirtual Machine Librarywindow and clickSettings.
- (Optional) If the host is of Intel based, navigate to .
- Under Systems Settings in theSettingswindow, clickSharing.
- Select theEnable Shared Folderscheck box.This action enables shared folders. It also enables mirrored folders for supported Windows guest operating systems. On Windows and macOS virtual machines, a shortcut is created on the guest operating system. Click on the shortcut to view the shared folders.
