Perform Actions on Your Virtual Machines from the Virtual Machine Library Window
The
Virtual Machine Library
window shows the virtual machines you created or powered on in Fusion

- To perform an action with an existing virtual machine or to create a virtual machine, follow the appropriate instruction.OptionActionStart a virtual machineClick the play button on the thumbnail image of the virtual machine.Suspend a virtual machineSelect the thumbnail image of the virtual machine and click the suspend button in the toolbar.Add notes about a virtual machineSelect the virtual machine and click. - Virtual machine processor and memory information.To access the Processors & Memory settings window, click the information icon.
- Network information appears when the virtual machine is connected to a network and powered on with VMware Tools installed.To obtain more detailed network information, click the information icon.
- Hard disk, snapshot, and reclaimable information.Reclaimable information is listed for Windows virtual machines only.Click theRefresh disk spaceicon to update the hard disk, snapshot, and reclaimable information and to prompt theClean Up Recommendedmessage to appear, if applicable.
Clean up a virtual machine (Fusion Proonly)TheClean Up Recommendedmessage appears for a virtual machine when the virtual machine is powered off and a significant amount of virtual machine space is available to be freed.To initiate the cleanup, click the message. The General settings dialog box appears, which includes cleanup options you can select.Rename a virtual machine- Control-click the virtual machine.
- SelectRename.
- Type a new name and press Enter.
Determine the location of a virtual machine's files- Control-click the virtual machine.
- Release the control button.
- SelectShow in Finder.
Change the settings for a virtual machineTo open the Settings window for that virtual machine, select. Some settings can be changed only when the virtual machine is powered off.Add virtual machines to the Virtual Machine Library windowYou can add one or more virtual machines at a time to the Virtual Machine Library windowManualDrag the virtual machine package icons or the virtual machines'.vmxfiles to the window.Automated- Select.

Remove a virtual machine from the Virtual Machine Library window- Shut down or power off the virtual machine.
- Control-click the virtual machine.
- SelectDelete.
Removing a virtual machine from the Virtual Machine Library window is not the same as deleting the virtual machine from your hard disk.Create a new virtual machine, import a virtual machine, or migrate a physical computerUse theFilemenu to create a new virtual machine, import a virtual machine, or migrate a PC.
