Add Additional Instance as Locations to the Cross-Instance Tier-1 Gateway

Add each additional instance as a location on the cross-instance Tier-1 gateway to enable cross-instance workloads.
  1. In a web browser, log in to Global Manager cluster at https://
    active_gm_vip_fqdn
    /.
  2. On the NSX Manager main navigation bar, click 
    Networking
    .
  3. In the navigation pane, select
    Tier-1 Gateways
    .
  4. On the Tier-1 Gateway page, click the vertical eclipses for the
    cross-instance_tier1
     gateway and click
    Edit
    .
  5. Click
    Add Location
     and enter the following values.
    Setting
    Value
    Location
    Select the location of this instance
    Edge Cluster
    Select the NSX Edge cluster of the this instance
    Mode
    Set to
    Secondary
    .
  6. Click
    Save
     and click
    Close Editing
    .
