VMware Tanzu for MySQL on Cloud Foundry is an on-demand service. Users can provision dedicated instances of MySQL using the cf CLI or Apps Manager.

Tanzu Application Service has been renamed, and is now called Tanzu Platform for Cloud Foundry. The current version of Tanzu Platform for Cloud Foundry is 10.x.

Tanzu for MySQL enables developers to provision and use dedicated instances of MySQL database on demand. When you install Tanzu for MySQL, the tile is deployed. It maintains a single service broker that integrates Tanzu for MySQL with Tanzu Operations Manager.

Tanzu for MySQL is configured with sensible settings by default so that the service meets user expectations for a general use relational database.
