Overview of Tanzu RabbitMQ OVA
You can use Tanzu RabbitMQ OVA if you want to use Tanzu RabbitMQ in virtual machine environments.
OVA formats offer the following advantages:
- OVA files are compressed, which means faster downloads.
- The vSphere web client validates an OVF or OVA file before importing it. It ensures that it is compatible with the intended destination server. If the appliance is incompatible with the selected host, it cannot be imported and an error message appears.
- OVF and OVA can encapsulate multi-tiered applications and more than one virtual machine.
For more information on OVF and OVA file formats and templates, and the benefits of using them, see OVF and OVA File Formats and Templates in the VMware vSphere documentation.
Tanzu RabbitMQ OVA includes the popular open-source RabbitMQ messaging and streaming solution, the Erlang runtime, the Photon OS, and other dependencies as well as commercial plug-ins.
Because Tanzu RabbitMQ OVA is built from open-source RabbitMQ, open-source RabbitMQ documentation is a core part of the Tanzu RabbitMQ OVA documentation set. This documentation directs you to open-source documentation where relevant.
