Which version of Tanzu tc Server to use?
The best way to determine this is to look at your Tomcat version requirements.
Beginning with Tanzu tc Server 10.1.x, the way the tc Runtimes are distributed changed. A single tc Runtime(Tomcat) version is distributed with the Tanzu tc Server major version.

Tanzu tc Server version 5.0.x will reach end of life on December 31, 2024. It is recommended not to install this version for a new install and customers should migrate to the version indicated in the table above.
Support for Apache Tomcat
Tanzu tc Server support includes support for Apache Tomcat that isn’t installed via Tanzu tc Server. This includes Apache Tomcat versions from 9.0.x to 11.1.x. In addition, extended support is provided for versions Apache Tomcat which the Apache Software Foundation considers no longer supported version which includes 7.0.x and 8.5.x. Extended support provides fixes for known CVEs which are reported for supported versions of Apache Tomcat.
