environment for a
VMware Aria Suite
product, use the VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle
installation wizard. - Verify that you have an existingVMware Aria Suiteinstance.
- Verify that you have an existing data center.
- Verify that you have created or imported a certificate.Certificates are not required for importing an existing environment. However, it is required when you select both import and new install in one flow while creating an environment.
- Log in toVMware Aria Suite Lifecycleas anVMware Aria Suite LifecycleAdmin orVMware Aria Suite LifecycleCloud Admin and clickCreate Environment.
- After entering the environment data fields, under each of the requiredVMware Aria Suiteproduct, selectImportand click the requiredVMware Aria Suiteproduct check box for theVMware Aria Suiteproduct name.
- ClickNext.
- In the launched install wizard, on theProducts Detailspage, update the details and select all thevCenterservers where all product components are installed.If you select a combination of import and install for two or more products while creating an environment, then enter the details as a new Install of product. If you are opting for an organic growth by adding another product after creating an environment withNew Installor combination ofImportandNew Install, then the details in Install wizard is already pre-populated. You can go ahead and clickNext. If you are opting for an organic growth by adding another product after creating an Environment withImportonly, then the installation wizard details are not pre-populated.After you import a product for a scale out, you must add a certificate. To manage a certificate, add the certificate from the settings tab and then import during scale out.
- Review the summary information and then clickSubmit.
- Import product certificates.TheVMware Aria Suite LifecycleLocker cannot import product certificates, so you must import the product certificate after you import the product.When you import a product into a new environment, theProduct Detailsview does not display a certificate entry. However, when you import a product into an existing environment that contains other products, theProduct Detailsview does display the environment-level certificate. The relevant certificate is consumed and visible in the Locker Certificates view, but the certificate is not actually assigned. Regardless of where you are importing ta product into a new or existing environment. you must import the product certificate after you import the product.
- Perform an inventory synchronization of the imported product.After inventory synchronization, theProduct Detailsview correctly reflects the certificate references.
