Add SDDC Name and Location

Select the location where you want to deploy the SDDC.
  1. Log in to the VMware Cloud Services Console at https://console.cloud.vmware.com/csp/gateway/discovery.
  2. Launch the
    VMware Cloud on Dell
     service.
  3. Access the SDDC order form by using one of the following methods:
    • Click
      Order SDDC
       on the upper-right corner of the page.
    • Click
      Launchpad
       on the left pane and then perform the following steps:
      1. Under
        Infrastructure
        , click
        VMware Cloud on Dell EMC
        Learn More
        .
      2. Click
        Get Started
        .
      Launchpad includes the tabs,
      Overview
      ,
      Journey
      , and
      Resources
      . You can navigate through these tabs for more information about the
      VMware Cloud on Dell EMC
       service.
    The SDDC order form appears.
  4. Enter the following information:
    1. SDDC name.
    2. Country and the complete address of the location where you want to install the rack.
    3. Details of your primary contact person, network administrator, cloud administrator, and site manager.
      You must enter at least one contact person. The contact persons are responsible for confirming the order, verifying the order details before shipment, coordinating the hardware arrival and installation, and SDDC activation onsite. VMware contacts any of these persons for verifying the details before shipping the hardware and during the shipment until the hardware is delivered and installed at your location.
    4. (Optional) Under
      Notes
      , provide additional information about the location.
      You can edit the contact details and notes anytime during the ordering process flow or after you place the order. See Edit Contact Details and Notes.
  5. Click
    Save and continue
     to save the details.
    After you add the SDDC name and location, you can either complete the ordering process flow now or continue later. Your SDDC is available on the
    Software Defined Data Centers (SDDC)
     page with the status
    Order Not Complete
    . You can access your SDDC and continue working. The
    Order VMware Cloud on Dell EMC SDDC
     form opens at the section where you last left. For more information on how to access your SDDC, see Select a Standard Rack Model.
The SDDC is available on the
SDDCs
 page.
After you add the location, select a rack.
