Exporting and Importing Outbound

admin,
you can backup the content before upgrading, export all the outbound plugin configurations,
and import it into a different VMware Aria
Operations
instance. You can also export the content from VMware Aria
Operations
on-prem to VMware
Aria Operations
.Any user with "Manage" Outbound
Settings permission can export and import outbound plugin configurations.
- Export an outbound setting.
- From the left menu, click, and in the right pane, clickOutbound Settings.
- Select the outbound settings that you want to export and click the horizontal ellipses and selectExport.
- Setup a new password to export data. The password should be at least 14 characters long.
- ClickExport.The outbound setting data is exported in the .json format. A password is used to encrypt the data in the file using the AES algorithm with 128 bit key. Use the same password while importing this file.
- Import an outbound setting.Before importing the outbound setting, ensure that you have exported the outbound plugin configurations.
- From the left menu, click, and in the right pane, clickOutbound Settings.
- Click the horizontal ellipses and selectImport.
- ClickBrowseto select the.jsonfile and enter the password that you had set while exporting the content.
- If there is a conflict while importing the content, you can either overwrite the existing outbound settings or skip the import, which is the default.
- ClickImportto import outbound settings to the destination setup.While importing outbound settings onVMware Aria Operations, Cloud Proxy configurations will be excluded.
