Enable a CD/DVD Drive
on a Remote Virtual Machine
You can enable a
CD/DVD drive and select a disk image on a virtual machine hosted on a remote
server. You can access or install software from a physical CD/DVD drive on to
your remote virtual machine.
Verify that the following
conditions are met:
- You have login credentials for the server where the virtual machine is hosted.
- The virtual machine is powered on.
- Select .
- Enter the name of the host server or select a server from theRecent Serversdrop-down menu.
- Enter your login credentials and clickConnect.
- Select .
- ClickCD/DVD Drive.
- Select theEnable CD/DVD Drivecheck box.
- Select a remote disc image from theChoose a remote disc imagedrop-down menu.
- ExpandAdvanced optionsand select a bus type from the drop-down menu.
- ClickRemove CD/DVD Driveto return to the CD/DVD drive that your virtual machine uses.
