Default File Location
of a Virtual Machine
Unless you specify
a file location for a virtual machine when you create it,
Fusion
saves
the virtual machine package to a default location.
The possible default file
locations for newly created virtual machines are as follows.
- , the default virtual-machine folder for new installations ofyour home directory/Virtual MachinesFusion11 or later.
- , the default virtual-machine folder for installations ofyour home directory/Documents/Virtual MachinesFusionearlier thanFusion11 andFusion11 and later installations that were upgraded from a version ofFusionearlier thanFusion11.
- The last location to which you saved a virtual machine.When you useFusionto create a virtual machine and you specify a virtual-machine location, instead of accepting the default, your specified location becomes the default the next time you create a virtual machine withFusion.
