Initiate Reprotect Recovery Plan

The workflow starts a reprotect process to protect the virtual machines on the recovery site after a failover has been completed.
You can initiate a reprotect process only if the recovery finishes without errors and the originally protected site is operational. Reverse folder, network, and resource mappings must exist from the original recovery to the original protected sites. During a reprotect process,
Site Recovery Manager
reverses the direction of protection, then forces a synchronization of the storage from the new protected site to the new recovery site.
You can run the
Initiate Reprotect Recovery Plan
workflow on the recovery site.
The workflow performs a check for the recovery plan state when running. If the recovery plan is in state
failedOver
, you can run a reprotect workflow.
