About Tanzu for Valkey on Kubernetes

Tanzu for Valkey on Kubernetes is a Kubernetes operator that automates the provisioning, management, and operations of dedicated Valkey instances running on Kubernetes. Applications running on Kubernetes can use Valkey instances deployed by using the operator.

Tanzu for Valkey on Kubernetes packages a collection of open-source software to deploy and manage one or more Valkey instances.

The major features of Tanzu for Valkey on Kubernetes include:

  • Flexible Valkey instances deployment by choosing any one of these supported deployment types:
    • Standalone
    • Replication (primary-replica)
    • Sentinel (primary-replica with high availability)
  • Access Control List rules for Valkey instances
  • Valkey Commander as a management console
  • TLS for client and intra-cluster connections
