Operational Verification of NSX-T Data Center

Validate the operational state of the NSX-T Data Center in
VMware Cloud Foundation
 by performing the operational verification steps for different networking components in NSX-T Manager.

Verify the Authentication in NSX Manager Using a Local System Account

Verify that you can authenticate to NSX Manager by using the built-in
admin
 account.
Expected Outcome
You can authenticate to NSX Manager by using the
admin
 account and access the NSX Manager user interface.
  1. Log in to the NSX Manager instance for the management domain at
    https://<management_domain_nsxt_manager_fqdn>/login.jsp?local=true
     as
    admin

  2. After login, verify that you can access the NSX-T home page.
  3. Repeat the procedure for the NSX Manager instance for the VI workload domains.

, verify the connection status of the Tier-0 gateways by generating a BGP summary report in NSX Manager.

The BGP connection status of all edge transport nodes is

     drop-down menu for the Tier-0 gateway and select
    Generate BGP summary
    .
  5. On the
    BGP summary
     dialog box, verify that the connection status of all edge transport nodes is
    Established
    .
  6. Repeat the procedure for the NSX Manager instances in the VI workload domains.

Verify the Operational Status of the NSX Load Balancers

 mode, verify the load balancer status in NSX Manager.

       page, verify that the status of all network segments is

       .
  6. Repeat the procedure for the NSX Manager instances for the VI workload domains.

Verify the Integration Status Between the NSX-T Data Center and the ESXi Hosts

Verify the node status and the NSX configuration status for the ESXi hosts in NSX-T Data Center and ensure that no issues exist.

The NSX configuration status of the ESXi hosts is

 and their node status is
Up
.
  1. Log in to the NSX Manager instance for the management domain at

     for all ESXi hosts in the cluster.
  7. Repeat the steps for each cluster in a VI workload domain.
