Release Notes for Cloud Service Broker for Azure

Last Updated February 26, 2025

This topic describes the changes in this minor release of Tanzu Cloud Service Broker for Azure (Cloud Service Broker for Azure).

v1.12.0

Release Date: Feb 24, 2025

Breaking Changes

For the csb-azure-mssql-db-failover-group service offering, for all plans except the existing plan, this release replaces the deprecated azurerm_sql_failover_group resource with azurerm_mssql_failover_group. Because the deletion of the old resource and the creation of the replacement resource happen in parallel, and because they attempt to use the same unique name, upgrading a service instance from v1.11 to v1.12 will fail on the first attempt, but succeed on the second attempt. The service instance will become unavailable to apps after the first failure, but will become available when the second upgrade attempt succeeds. Consider upgrading service instances individually (via the cf upgrade-service command) rather than via the upgrade-services errand.

Features

  • Tofu upgraded to v1.9.0:

The Tofu version used to apply changes is upgraded to 1.9.0. You must upgrade all service instances. When you upgrade, ensure that you follow the Upgrade procedure.
