Install VDA on Single-Session Windows 10
Operating System
This section provides step-by-step instructions about installing VDA on the Windows
10 operating system.
- Create a virtual machine and install the Windows 10 Server operating system.
- Ensure that the virtual machine is onsddc-cgw-citrix-desktopsnetwork with DHCP, and domain assigned to the network.
- Mount theCitrix Virtual Apps and DesktopsISO,AutoSelectfile.
- ClickStartcorresponding toVirtual Apps and Desktops.
- On the upper-right corner of the page, selectVirtual Delivery Agent for Windows 10 single-session OS.
- On theEnvironmentpage, selectCreate a master MCS imageand clickNext.
- On theCore Componentspage, select theVirtual Delivery Agentcheck box and clickNext.The Workspace App is required for Double-Hop ICA Connections.
- On theAdditional Components for Master MCS Imagepage, select the following default components and clickNext.
- Citrix Supportability Tools
- Citrix Profile Management
- Citrix Profile Management WMI plug-in
- On theDelivery ControllerPage, do the following:
- SelectDo it manually.
- Enter the FQDN of each Delivery Controller.
- ClickTest Connectionand then clickAdd.
- ClickNext.
- On theFeaturepage, select the required features and clickNext.
- On theFirewallpage, underConfigure firewall rules, selectAutomaticallyand clickNext.
- On theSummaryPage, do the following:
- Review the list of components that will be installed.
- SelectEnable restore on failureand then clickInstall.
Your computer reboots multiple times to complete the installation. - (Optional) on theDiagnosticspage, clearCollect Diagnostic Informationif you want to enable the Citrix Call Home feature and then clickNext.
- ClickFinishto restart the system to complete the installation.
