Create a Snapshot as

It is mandatory to create a snapshot
of each node in a cluster before you update a
VMware Aria
Operations
cluster. Once the update is complete, you must delete
the snapshot to avoid performance degradation. For more information about
snapshots, see the vSphere Virtual Machine Administration documentation.
- Log into theVMware Aria OperationsAdministrator interface athttps://<primary-node-FQDN-or-IP-address>/admin.
- ClickTake Offlineunder the cluster status.
- When all nodes are offline, open thevSphereclient.
- Right-click aVMware Aria Operationsvirtual machine.
- ClickSnapshotand then clickTake Snapshot.
- Name the snapshot. Use a meaningful name such as "Pre-Update."
- Uncheck theSnapshot the Virtual Machine Memorycheck box.
- Uncheck theEnsure Quiesce Guest File System (Needs VMware Tools installed)check box.
- ClickOK.
- Repeat these steps for each node in the cluster.
