Remote Plugin UninstallationLast Updated December 16, 2024
Unregistering a plug-in package from vCenter Server causes the vSphere Client service
to delete the plug-in from the environment. A vCenter Server instance notifies all linked
vCenter Server instances as soon as the plug-in is unregistered. The linked vCenter Server
instances undeploy the plug-in, by using the following steps:
- Delete the plug-in from internal extension point tables.
- Delete the plug-in's reverse proxy routing rules.
- Delete the plug-in's manifest from cache.
While the process of uninstallation takes place, the
vSphere Client UI does not wait for the process to complete. You might need to refresh the
browser window after the vSphere Client displays a notification that the uninstallation is
complete.
